How parts get picked
Parts lists come from what the project actually needs, at the cheapest workable option. Nothing is added to a build to raise a commission, and no brand pays for placement.
You never have to use them
Every parts list is written out in full on the page, so you can buy anywhere, reuse what you already own, or borrow from a school lab. The projects work the same either way.
